The General Director of the Management and Operational Center of the Amazon Protection System (CENSIPAM), Dr. Rogério Guedes Soares, alongside Administration and Finance Director, Gen Div Luiz Felipe LINHARES Gomes, Product Director, Mr. Péricles Riograndense CARDIM Silva, the Special Adviser to the General Director, Gen Div Pedro Ronalt Vieira and Regional Center of Belém (from Pará, Brazil) and Porto Velho (from Rondônia, Brazil) managers, received Airship do Brasil (ADB) to discuss the real possibilities of joint work, regarding the use of lighter than air platforms in the protection of the Amazon.

CENSIPAM and its commission learned about the Airship Project, which began in the 1990s, in the Brazilian Army, whose main objective is the mobility of troops and supplies and surveillance of the Amazon.

It was suggested by the General Director, as an initial idea, to follow the model already used by that Center Manager, as well as the applied research that resulted in the development of the first SABER M60 radar.

A meeting was planned during the event called LAAD between CENSIPAM, ADB and its partners, and the Management Center emphasized the importance of using SAGA in real-time planned coordination and multi-agency operations.



ADB was represented by Dr. Marcelo Augusto de Felippes, CEO, Mr. Caio Freitas, Commercial Manager and Mr. António Marques, Consultant from LIA.
