The honorable Air Brigadier Paulo Roberto de Barros Chã and his advisers, Frigate Captain Maxiliano Santos Tavares, Colonel Jorge Peixoto Junior and Air Colonel Alexandre Pinto Sampaio, received representatives from Airship do Brasil: the CEO, Dr. Marcelo Augusto de Felippes, the Commercial Manager, Mr. Caio Freitas and the consultant of the company LIA, Mr. Antônio Marques, in the Ministry of Defense, in the Defense Products Directorate - DEPROD.

The main objective of the event was to promote the lighter than air industry, since ADB is a Strategic Defense Company (EED) and this is its core business. ADB updated the Ministry of Defense regarding the applications of finished and in-development products, with emphasis on their employment on the Defense sector.

The presentation included the demonstration of the operational capacity of the Bertolini companies, ADB's facilities and technical staff and the SAGA Program (High-altitude Atmospheric Satellite) under development by ADB and its partners, which was considered an opportunity to fill in gaps related to the surveillance and strategic security of the country, highlighting the high life cycle and the possible alternatives of system integrations, providing longevity to the infrastructure used to complement the national defense strategy. SAGA enables technological upgrades even after launch, unlike the satellites, making it a great differential program.

The following defense products were presented: ADB-A-150 (NSN:1550-19-005-8442) and ADB-A-230 aerostats (NSN: 1550-19-005-8441), already capable of being used in SISFRON (Integrated Border Monitoring System).

Another highlight was the use of the ADB-3-X01 airship, homologated as Strategic Product of Defense, NSN nº 1560-19-0068325, in full conditions to fulfill tasks of Surveillance, Civil Defense, Public Security and support to isolated communities, when requested by an Armed Force.

As for the ADB-3-3 airship, the applicability approach has been expanded, being a product of dual characteristics and employment.

In addition to the issues related to the projects, there was guidance by the Board of Directors on support for the promotion of the defense industry through the Special Tax Regime for the Defense Industry - RETID, highlighting the need to disseminate knowledge of this program in defense companies in Brazil.
